Paintball Turret

This was for an automated defense project. The idea was to mount a web cam on the barrel and program the computer to detect shapes and colors to fire on. The controller was to control 2axis and a trigger.

As this was a field unit and to be deployed as a drop and go system, it needed to be portable and able to be setup up in a few minutes. The legs were made to slip in and pin in place. The feet had the ability to sit on a flat surface or flip over to grip soft soil. Each leg held a portion of the guts (battery, controller, compressed air). Using linear drive units the turret was able to rotate 179degs and raise and lower 80degs.
